A Prefabricated Beach Front Chalet in Kuala Penyu,Sabah, Malaysia. This house sits on a hill facing a beautiful secluded beach. However,the site is remote and far. It was built on a limited budget and in a very short time frame. So, the house frames, doors and windows were prefabricated in a factory first and then transported by truck to the site for assembly. In this way, the cost can be controlled. And because it was fabricated in a controlled envirionment of a factory, the built quality is superb. Each A-Frame is light enough for 2 persons to lift and install. This construction method also minimizes the time and efffort required to supervise workers in a remote site. The C-Beams and footings were constructed on site whilst the rest of the building were prefabricated in the factory. Therefore, 2 gangs of workers were working concurrently on this project, saving much time. when the site works were done, the prefabricated frames were delivered to site and assembled by the site workers. The width of the house was limited to the length of the transporting truck. i.e. 16 feet. the height of the building was limited to the height of a bridge along the dellivvery route.
